Ethnography Lab Call for Group Projects – Deadline February 13th

The Ethnography Lab is putting out a call for short collaborative projects to be carried out this winter and spring. Two successful applications will receive up to $2000 to cover any costs associated with the project, including a small stipend for the team leader. Submit a brief proposal (1 page) to Concordia.ethnography@gmail.com by February 13th.

There is no set format for these proposals, but they should meet the following criteria:

  1. Projects should be based on an ethnographic question
  2. Teams must have at least 3 graduate students and represent more than one discipline. At least one of these members should be a member of the Lab.
  3. Proposed methods should be focused and short – projects should be finished in a few months at most
  4. The project needs to produce some kind of artifact at the end – an article, presentation, webpage, photo-essay, exhibit, podcast, etc…

The point of these is to experiment with collaborative research and to have fun. We have a lot of experience in the Lab doing these, so if you have any doubts or questions, please talk to someone who has already done one, or to the Ethnography Lab director, Kregg Hetherington at kregg.hetherington@concordia.ca.
